Indian-American Shohini Sinha has been named special agent in charge of the FBI's field office in the US state of Utah in Salt Lake City. Shohini Sinha is known for her work on counter-terrorism investigations in the US.
Shohini Sinha most recently served as Executive Special Assistant to the Director at FBI Headquarters in Washington, DC. He was designated special agent in charge by FBI Director Christopher Wray. The FBI director praised Sinha's exceptional track record in counterterrorism investigations and his extensive experience within the agency.
Since joining the FBI as a special agent in 2001, Shohini Sinha has had a remarkable career, said a press release issued on Monday. His journey began with the Milwaukee field office, where he led a number of anti-terrorist investigations. Demonstrating his versatility and commitment, Shohini has also held several temporary assignments, including stints at Guantanamo Bay Naval Base, the FBI Legal Attache's Office in London, and the Baghdad Operations Center.
For her stellar work with the FBI, Shohini was promoted to supervisory special agent in 2009 and transferred to the Counterterrorism Division in Washington, DC. There he assumed the role of Program Manager for Extraterrestrial Investigations based in Canada, fostering cooperation with Canadian Liaison Officers based in Washington, DC.
Shohini Sinha achieved another milestone in 2012 when she was promoted as Assistant Legal Attaché in Ottawa, Canada. In this capacity, he was tasked with dealing with counter-terrorism matters through cooperation with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and the Canadian Security Intelligence Service.
It has been said in the press release that Shohini is ahead in helping others, besides she has a strong educational background. He holds a bachelor's degree in psychology and a master's degree in mental health counseling from Purdue University in Indiana.
