India has entered the semi-finals after defeating Nepal by 23 runs in the quarter-finals of the Asian Games. Now India is just two wins away from the gold medal. In the quarter-finals against Nepal, India won the toss batted first, and scored 202 runs at the loss of 4 wickets in 20 overs. In response to Nepal team could score only 179 runs. For India, Yashasvi Jaiswal played a brilliant century of 100 runs with the help of 8 fours and 7 sixes in just 49 balls. Whereas, Ravi Bishnoi and Avesh Khan took three wickets each.

India made a good start by winning the toss and electing to bat first. In the powerplay, India scored 63 runs without losing any wickets. In the very next over, Yashasvi Jaiswal completed his half-century. The first blow to India came in the form of captain Rituraj Gaikwad at a score of 103 runs in the 10th over. He was caught by Rohit Paudel on the ball of Deependra Singh on a personal score of 25 runs.

The second blow to India was given by Sompal Kami by bowling Tilak Verma (2) in the 12th over on the score of 111. Then in the very next over, Lamichhane gave the third blow to the score of 119 by caught and bowling Jitesh Sharma. India's fourth wicket fell at the score of 150.
