Afghanistan head coach Jonathan Trott said on Thursday ahead of the T20 World Cup Super-8 match against India in Barbados that the morning match is better for them. Jonathan Trott said in the pre-match press conference, "I think day matches are actually better for us. So, I am very excited to play with India. India is the favorite in this match, obviously, there is pressure on India and we can be seen as underdogs, but in my mind, we are not underdogs and we are fully prepared for this match." One of the reasons Afghanistan is positive about the morning games is their excellent bowling attack. Their spinners are world-class, and their swing bowler Fazal Haq Farooqi is in great form. Trott said, "I think when you have spinners with experience in T20 cricket, as we have, I think you would definitely say that is one of our strengths. But still one of our seamers is the highest wicket-taker in the tournament." Despite there being no dew, Trott reminded his spinners that they still need to perform to the best of their ability.

India's head coach Rahul Dravid also paid tribute to Afghanistan's abilities, saying, "If you look at their team, they don't have too much international experience like other formats of the game. But they deserve to be in the Super-8 on the basis of their performance and hard work." Let us tell you that the Indian team had won all the matches in the group stage except one match which was washed out due to rain, Afghanistan had won 3 matches.
