Income Tax Department raids at 15 places in Bengaluru, documents being examined
IT raids in Bengaluru: The Income Tax Department (I-T) conducted simultaneous raids at more than 15 places in Bengaluru on Wednesday. According to information received by IANS, the raids were going on since morning and officials were checking documents at the residences and corporate offices of some industrialists. Sources said that the raid was conducted in cases related to tax evasion by some industrialists and gold traders.

The Income Tax Department (I-T) on Wednesday conducted simultaneous raids at more than 15 locations in Bengaluru. According to information received by IANS, the raids had been going on since morning and officials were checking documents at the residences and corporate offices of some industrialists.
Sources said that the raids (Income Tax Department raids in Bengaluru) were conducted in cases related to tax evasion by some industrialists and gold traders.
According to the information received, officials from Chennai and Mumbai offices arrived on Tuesday night. The raids were conducted in Vijayanagar, Hulimavu, Sadashivnagar, and Sanki Tank areas.
