On November 22, a video of the groom firing while sitting on the roof of the Thar car during the wedding went viral on social media. This case if from the Chiksana police station area of Bharatpur district. After the incident, the police immediately took cognizance of the matter and started an investigation.

Chiksana police station sub-inspector Krishnaveer said that the viral video is from Laudha Nagla village. In this, the groom Gaurav, who is a resident of Kheria Purohit village of Deeg district, is seen sitting on the roof of the Thar car and firing in the air with a gun. As soon as the video surfaced, the police took immediate action and the girl's side was called to the police station.

The girl's side had claimed during interrogation that the gun used in the firing was licensed. However, police sent a team to Gaurav's village to check the legality of the weapon.

The police said that if the weapon is found to be illegal, then action would be taken against the groom and the concerned parties as per the rules. Officials cautioned that such firing at wedding functions is against the law and also causes serious accidents.

The incident has brought up questions regarding the dangerous trend in society where, within a wedding ceremony, such displaying and firing of weapons take place. The police have appealed to the citizens not to indulge in such acts and to cooperate towards the enforcement of the rule of law. Investigation is underway in this case, and the police await further action.
