England announced the second new captain within 1 month, now this player has been given the responsibility
Nat Sciver-Brunt announced as new England Captain: The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has entrusted Nat Sciver-Brunt with the responsibility of the England women's cricket team.

The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) appointed Nat Sciver-Brunt as England women's cricket team captain on Tuesday, replacing Heather Knight, who retired after England's 2025 Women's Ashes series following almost 9 years of service. She would be captaining the side across all formats, along with newly appointed head coach Charlotte Edwards.
In a statement issued by the England and Wales Cricket Board, Nat Sciver-Brunt said, I am really proud to play the role of captain of the England women's cricket team. Ever since I made my debut for England in 2013, all I want is to help the team in every way possible. I will do my best to lead this team to success, as well as empower them to become the best version of themselves.
The 32-year-old player said, We have really talented players and we are united. This is a team I believe in. A team that can achieve a lot of success together. Working with Charlotte is very exciting. I have had the privilege of working with her at the Mumbai Indians over the last three years. Her love for cricket and passion for the England women's team are inspiring, and I am excited to see where this partnership takes us.
