Dollar vs Rupee: Rupee flat against US dollar, decline of 8 paise
Indian Rupee vs Dollar: Today again the rupee has weakened against the US dollar. The rupee depreciated 8 paise to 82.05 against the US dollar in early trade on Friday due to a stronger US dollar and the outflow of foreign funds from domestic equities.
Forex traders said that the rise in crude oil prices also impacted the local unit. Negative sentiments in domestic and global equity markets also weighed on the Indian currency.
The domestic unit opened at 82.05 at the interbank forex market but again traded in the range of 82.07-82.04. Later, the rupee turned flat and traded at 82.05 against the greenback. It was registering a decline of 8 paise from the previous close.
