The country's largest public sector bank State Bank of India (SBI) launched the facility of e-Rupee for its customers. Now UPI payment can be done through e-Rupee. This facility is called Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC). SBI has launched the E-Rupee By SBI app to help customers. Through this app, customers can now easily make UPI payments by scanning the UPI QR code.

SBI Bank launched retail digital e-Rupi last year in December 2022. The bank believes that digital payments have been promoted through the facility of e-rupee. The aim of the bank is to bring digital revolution to India.

Now along with SBI, Bank of Baroda (BOB), Union Bank of India, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, and Yes Bank, You can make UPI payments through digital rupee in many banks like IDFC First Bank. In such a situation, many people have a question about how to make UPI payments through digital rupee.

Customers add an e-Rupee to their e-wallet and then can make UPI payments through that e-Rupee. In such a situation, the customer will not need to keep cash. In such a situation, merchants can make payments in both CBDC and UPI.

Apart from this, many banks have also given the facility for customers to withdraw money from ATMs without a debit card. In this, customers can easily withdraw money from ATMs through UPI.

SBI is the largest commercial bank in the country. This bank is also the largest lender. The bank's deposits till the current financial year 2023 were Rs 45.31 lakh crore.
