38-year-old Kieron Pollard, who has stepped away from international cricket and the IPL, still maintains his hunger for runs. In the Caribbean Premier League match on Sunday between Trinbago Knight Riders and St Lucia Kings, Trinbago won by 18 runs, thanks to Pollard's fiery half-century. Pollard scored 65 runs off 29 balls, including four fours and six sixes, and reached his half-century in just 22 balls. He was named Player of the Match for this brilliant performance.

St Lucia Kings' decision to bowl first after winning the toss appeared to be the right call until Pollard came to the crease. Batting at number five, Pollard immediately attacked the St Lucia bowlers. His quickfire innings included 6 sixes and 4 fours, helping Trinbago set a target of 184 runs for 7 wickets in 20 overs. Captain Nicholas Pooran scored 34 off 30 balls, while Colin Munro added 43 off 30 balls.

Chasing 184, St Lucia Kings got off to a strong start, with openers Tim Seifert and Johnson Charles adding 74 runs in 8.3 overs for the first wicket. However, due to runs scored by middle-order batsmen, they fell short, scoring 165 for 6 wickets in 20 overs and losing by 18 runs. Seifert made 35, and Charles scored 47. For Trinbago, Andre Russell and Osama Mir took 2 wickets each, while Mohammad Aamir and Akil Hussain took 1 each.
