CM Yadav wrote a letter to Union Minister Gadkari, said- It is necessary to make Damoh-Jabalpur road a four-lane road

There are so many big potholes on the Damoh-Jabalpur State Highway that the road is not visible at all. Due to this, accidents are happening continuously and drivers are facing a lot of difficulty in commuting. Regarding this, MP Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has written a letter to Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari. It was said that the Damoh-Jabalpur route was notified as National Highway-34 on 20 January 2016.

This route has been handed over to the National Highway Authority of India by the notification of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways dated 28 June 2022. This route is an important national highway connecting Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh's central eastern part of Bundelkhand region, and India. At present this route is two-lane. In view of the traffic growth and the importance of the route, it is very important to upgrade it to four lanes.

The letter further states that at present the necessary maintenance of the Damoh-Jabalpur section is being done by MPRDC of MP. It can be handed over to the National Highways of India without any additional liability by August 2024. Therefore, it is necessary to take this route under the control of the National Highways Authority of India soon. So that this route can be made four-lane. Recently, Culture Minister Dharmendra Lodhi has also written a letter to PWD Minister Rakesh Singh to fill the potholes on this route.

Damoh Jabalpur route is a very important route. Hundreds of passenger buses ply here every day. Due to Jabalpur being a metropolitan city, people also go here daily for treatment and shopping. Apart from this, it is also a major route to go to Nagpur.
