Check Fuel Prices In Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, And Other Cities On February 26 For Petrol And Diesel
Delhi was the only large city in India where the price of gasoline was not more than Rs 100; a litre cost Rs 96.72.
Since last year, the cost of gasoline and diesel has not changed across the nation. On May 21, 2022, the government lowered the excise tax on gasoline and diesel, which resulted in the final adjustment in price for these two fuels in India. On Sunday, February 26, prices for gasoline and diesel remained unchanged nationwide due to the ongoing price freeze.
Delhi was the only large city in India where the price of gasoline was not more than Rs 100; a litre cost Rs 96.72. The cost of a litre of gasoline was the highest among India's major cities in Mumbai, where it was being offered for sale for Rs 106.31. Petrol cost Rs. 106.03 per liter in Kolkata. A litre of gasoline cost Rs 102.73 in Chennai.
In terms of gasoline costs, diesel car owners fared better. In Mumbai, diesel costs Rs 94.27 per litre while it costs Rs 89.62 in Delhi. Although the same amount of petrol retailed for Rs 94.24 per litre in Chennai, it cost Rs 92.76 per litre in Kolkata.
