ED conducts fresh raids in Karnataka MUDA case, registers case against Siddaramaiah

In a money laundering case involving the Mysore Urban Development Authority (MUDA), the Enforcement Directorate carried out new raids on Monday.It has filed a complaint against Siddaramaiah, the chief minister of Karnataka. This information was provided by official sources.

According to Amar Ujala, searches are being carried out at about seven or eight locations in Mysuru and Bengaluru. On October 18, the federal agency raided the MUDA office in Mysuru and a few other locations as part of the initial set of raids in the case.

It also examined some of the lower-level officials in MUDA at the Bengaluru regional office last week. Acting upon cognisance of the Lokayukta FIR, ED filed an Enforcement Case Information Report (ECIR) under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) to register a case against the Chief Minister and others.
