BJP will contest elections with PM Modi's face and collective leadership, strategy to unite leaders divided into factions

BJP's strategy for the assembly elections of Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, and Rajasthan, which are going to be held after three months, has started getting clear. In these, the BJP will enter the fray with the help of the collective leadership of the state and the face of Modi.

In all three states, this strategy can prove favorable to prevent internal factionalism in the party. Not declaring the Chief Minister's face in all three states and not giving place to Vasundhara Raje in the Election Management Committee and Sankalp Patra Committee in Rajasthan is a part of this strategy.

According to highly placed sources of BJP, Vasundhara Raje is definitely a big leader of Rajasthan and the party will also make full use of her in the election campaign. It is possible that he will also be given a place in the election campaign committee, but it is necessary to give big responsibility to other leaders of the state. So that all the leaders can unite and collectively contribute to the victory of the party.

In Madhya Pradesh too, as Chief Minister, Shivraj Singh Chouhan is continuously going among the public with popular government schemes like Ladli Behen, but the command of the election campaign committee has been handed over to Union Minister Narendra Tomar.

It is worth noting that assembly elections are to be held in Mizoram, Telangana, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, and Rajasthan in November-December. Last year, the BJP had to face defeat in all these five states. There is no hope for the BJP in Mizoram and vote percentage may increase in Telangana, but it is not clear how much it will convert into seats.

Last time BJP was able to win only one seat out of 117 assembly seats in Telangana. In such a situation, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, and Rajasthan become very important for the BJP. Last time, even though BJP lost elections in Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, and Rajasthan, BJP was able to perform best in the Lok Sabha, but six months before the Lok Sabha elections, the defeat in these states can give the opposition an opportunity to build a narrative against the BJP.

This is the reason why BJP does not want to leave any stone unturned in the assembly elections. In order to stop the infighting in the party in all three states, the senior leaders of the party have themselves taken up the responsibility of the elections. The responsibility of Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh is with Amit Shah, while the responsibility of Rajasthan is with JP Nadda. Different responsibilities have been assigned to the leaders in these states and continuous feedback is also being taken from them.
