Apple spoke about separating services like Chrome-Android from Google, know what it said
Anti-Trust Case: Apple has made an important agreement with Google regarding the use of its search engine. Under this, Google pays billions of dollars to Apple every year to remain the default search engine in the Safari browser present in Apple's products like iPhone, iPad, and MacBook.
Hearings are going on in the US to break Google. In this anti-trust case, there is a proposal to separate the company's important Chrome search engine/web browser and Android services to end Google's monopoly in the Internet search sector. Now another big tech company Apple has also put forth its side in this matter. It has been told that Apple has made it clear in this anti-trust hearing against Google that it cannot depend only on Google in the matter of search engines.
It is worth noting that Apple has made an important agreement with Google regarding the use of its search engine. Under this, Google pays billions of dollars to Apple every year to remain the default search engine in the Safari browser present in Apple's products like iPhone, iPad, and MacBook. In 2022 alone, Apple has received $20 billion from Google under this agreement.
However, it is believed that now Apple has decided to let go of this revenue in the ongoing anti-trust case with the proposal to break up Google. The lawyers of the company have told the court that Apple and Google are not rivals at all and Apple does not want to keep it in competition in the field of search engines. Apple says it will keep that position whether it gets billions of dollars in revenue from Google in the coming times or not.
