Another case of HMPV Virus: A 10-month-old child found positive in Assam
HMPV virus in Assam: Human metapneumovirus (HMPV) infection has been detected in a 10-month-old child in Assam. The child is undergoing treatment at Assam Medical College and Hospital (AMCH) in Dibrugarh and his condition is now stable. AMCH Superintendent Dr. Bhuiyan said that the child was admitted to the government hospital four days ago due to symptoms of cold and cough.

Cases of HMPV virus are increasing rapidly in India. Now a new case of this has come to light in Assam. On Saturday, officials said that a Human metapneumovirus (HMPV) infection had been detected in a 10-month-old child.
Officials said that the child is undergoing treatment at Assam Medical College and Hospital (AMCH) in Dibrugarh and his condition is now stable.
AMCH Superintendent Dr. Dhrubjyoti Bhuiyan said that the child was admitted to the government hospital four days ago due to symptoms of cold and cough.
