Union Minister Anurag Thakur on Monday (September 11) once again cornered the opposition over the attack on Sanatan Dharma. He said that attempts are being made to "insult" Sanatan Dharma and Rahul Gandhi, and Uddhav Thackeray are silent. The minister claimed, "The opposition is limited to insulting Sanatan Dharma. This reflects their mentality and attempts are being made one after another to insult Sanatan Dharma."
The BJP leader's comments come amid a political controversy after DMK leader Udhayanidhi Stalin held Sanatan Dharma responsible for promoting division and discrimination among people. Along with this, Udhayanidhi compared Sanatan with dengue, mosquito, malaria, or corona and talked about eliminating it.
Apart from this, DMK leader A Raja also compared Sanatan Dharma with diseases like leprosy and HIV. After the Sanatan controversy, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said that he has read the Upanishads and Bhagavad Geeta and there is nothing Hindu in what the BJP does.
