Airtel network down in Delhi-NCR, users unable to make calls, company gives clarification
Airtel Network Outage: Lakhs of Airtel users in Delhi-NCR were unable to make calls due to sudden network down on Monday evening. After a flood of complaints on social media, the company acknowledged the problem and assured to restore the service soon.
On Monday evening, Airtel users in Delhi-NCR complained about making calls and not getting a network signal. More than 3,600 complaints were registered on the Downdetector website until 4:32 pm.
Airtel admitted in a post on X (formerly Twitter) that there was a network outage. The company wrote, "Our team is working to resolve the problem and restore service. Sorry for the inconvenience."
However, this post was deleted after some time. Afterward, Airtel started responding to network-related complaints through direct messages (DMs) instead of public posts. This led to further frustration among users.
According to Downdetector, most complaints were related to the mobile network, with additional reports of signal and mobile internet problems registered afterward.
