33 students of IIT Kanpur selected on a package of more than 1 crore rupees

The first session of the placement drive at IIT Kanpur is over. In this, 33 students got a package of more than one crore rupees. One of these students has been selected by a foreign company on a package of Rs 4 crore. 74 students have received international job offers in the placement drive, which is 57 percent more than last year.
IIT Kanpur Director Prof. Abhay Karandikar told that more than 35 start-ups and more than 250 companies had reached with offers of 1200 jobs in the placement drive. These companies have selected 1128 students for jobs. He told that this year 24 percent of offers have been made by core companies. Now the placement drive for the second session will be from January 15, 2023.
An IIT Kanpur student has got a package of 4 crores abroad, which is more than the record of 2.5 crores so far. On the other hand, in the highest domestic package, a student has been selected for a package of Rs 1.9 crore, which is more than the record of Rs 1.2 crore so far.
In the placement drive of IIT Kanpur, 1128 students have got jobs already one semester. Of these, 208 students are those who got job offers before the drive, which is 33 percent more than last year.
Rakuten Mobile, American Express, Intel, Microsoft India, Qualcomm, Oracle India Pvt Ltd, SAP Labs, Capital One, Reliance Industries Ltd, Axis Bank, and Jaguar Land Rover India Ltd are among the top recruiters this season based on the number of students hired. , Jio Platforms Limited, Walmart Global Tech India, Airbus Group India, ICICI Lombard General Limited and others.
Banks, Investment Banks, Accounting Firms, and Asset Management Companies like Capital One, Quadye Securities, JP Morgan & Chase, American Express, PwC, Axis Bank, HSBC, Wells Fargo, and ICICI are among the top recruiters from Banking Sector Lombard GIC Ltd. etc. joined.
Some of the tech companies offering jobs at IIT Kanpur were Rakuten Mobile, Intel, Microsoft India, Qualcomm, EXL, Oracle India Pvt Ltd, SAP Labs, Walmart Global Tech India, Legato Health Technology etc. Other top recruiters included Sprinklr, Actress, Texas Instruments, Eaton, Air Bus Group India, and Larsen & Toubro Ltd.
