11 children will get Prime Minister's National Child Award

President Draupadi Murmu will honour 11 children with the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar (PMRBP) at Vigyan Bhavan on Monday. These children have been selected from different regions of the country for the categories of innovation, social service, education, sports, art-culture and bravery.
On the other hand, on Tuesday, January 24, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also interact with the award-winning children. Women and Child Development Minister Smriti Zubin Irani will also interact with these children in the presence of Minister of State Dr. Munjpara Mahendrabhai and congratulate them for their wonderful performance in their respective categories.
The government gives these awards to children for their exceptional achievements. These awards are given in 6 different categories to children in the age group of 5 to 18 years, who are eligible for national recognition.
This year the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar is being given to 11 children selected from all regions of the country, 4 in art and culture, 1 for bravery, 2 for innovation, 1 for social service and 3 for sports.
According to media reports, out of a total of 11 children who received the Prime Minister's National Child Award this year, 6 are boys and 5 are girls. All the award winners will be given a medal, prize money of Rs 1 lakh and a certificate.
Last year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi distributed the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar (PMRBP) through video conferencing. He handed over the prize money to the children through digital certificates and blockchain technology. 61 children from across the country were selected for these awards. In this, 32 children were selected for last year and 29 children were selected for PMRBP-2022 this year. He also interacted with the winners on this occasion.
