Xiaomi 16 Leak Hints at Snapdragon 8 Elite Chipset, 7,000mAh Battery & 100W Charging

Xiaomi is planning to launch another powerful phone soon, with the name "Xiaomi 16". Many features related to the phone have already surfaced online, and this upcoming flagship device is going to be an upgraded model of Xiaomi 15, which was introduced in October 2024. Recently, information about when the Xiaomi 16 will be launched was also revealed.

Reports had said that the phone could be launched by the end of September. Apart from this, information about the display, chipset, and camera of Xiaomi 16 has also come out. 

Recent reports have revealed some special specifications and features of Xiaomi 16. This device, which is an upgrade of Xiaomi 15, launched last year, can offer many great features this time. The upcoming flagship device is going to get a 120Hz refresh rate. Also, a 6.3-inch 1.5K LTPO OLED display can be found in the phone. This time, the phone can get the most powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chipset or Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, making Xiaomi's next smartphone the first such phone to come with this chipset.

For photography lovers, this device can get a triple rear camera setup, which includes a 50-megapixel Omnivision camera. Also, this phone can get a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera and a 50-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL JN5 telephoto lens. For selfie lovers, the device has a 32-megapixel selfie camera. For the security of the phone, it can have an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.

This powerful device from Xiaomi can also get an IP68 or IP69 rating for protection from dust and water, which will make it even more special. The device is going to support powerful 100W wired and 50W wireless fast charging. A large 7,000mAh battery can also be found in the device.
