Due to Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, and other team veterans, it appeared that after 1983 and 2011, the Indian team was about to win the trophy once again. But the tale turned in the last, and the Indian team had to suffer defeat at the hands of Australia, which is the most successful ODI cricket team. Crores of Indians were devastated. The dream of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli also did not come true.
