Suzuki Releases Limited Edition Jimny Heritage Special Edition SUV with Retro-Inspired Design

Suzuki, the Japanese automobile manufacturer, has released a limited edition version of its popular off-road vehicle, the Jimny, called the Heritage Special Edition. Although not yet officially unveiled in India, the Jimny has gained popularity in European and Australian markets due to its compact size and functional design. To celebrate its heritage, Suzuki has created a limited edition of 3,000 units that come in four color schemes: Black Pearl, Jungle Green, White, and Medium Grey, with retro-inspired decals and red mudflaps.

The Suzuki Jimny Heritage Special Edition is only available in the three-door variant and comes with a 1.5-liter inline-four K-series petrol engine, producing a maximum of 103 horsepower and 134 Nm of torque, paired with a 5-speed manual transmission and the brand's "AllGrip" four-wheel-drive system. The SUV also features a roomy four-seater interior, an all-black console, a "Jimny Heritage" luggage tray, quality fabric upholstery, and automatic temperature control. The SUV also has an infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and a semi-digital instrument cluster. In terms of safety, the SUV comes with multiple airbags to protect occupants in the event of a collision.

The Suzuki Jimny Heritage Special Edition has a clamshell bonnet, rounded LED headlights, a blacked-out grille with vertical slats, squared-off ORVMs, flared wheel arches, and black cladding, which gives it a distinctive look. The SUV also features five-spoke alloy wheels, retro-inspired decals, and red mudflaps. The spare wheel is located on the tailgate, and the taillights are positioned on the bumper.

The Suzuki Jimny Heritage Special Edition is available in Australia for $33,490 (Rs 18.54 lakh approximately) and comes in three color variants: White and Black Pearl, Jungle Green, and Medium Gray. Each color option costs $695 more than the White version (about Rs. 38,500).

The Jimny has gained popularity due to its portability and compact size, making it ideal for off-road adventures. In the late 1970s, the vehicle first appeared as a little off-road vehicle and has since become one of the most affordable SUVs in the world, thanks to its direct four-wheel-drive system and retro-inspired yet functional design. The release of the Suzuki Jimny Heritage Special Edition is a testament to the vehicle's popularity and longevity in the market.
