South Africa called this Englishman before the WTC final 2025

The final match of the ICC World Test Championship 2025 will be played between South Africa and Australia from 11 to 15 June at Lord's Cricket Ground in London, England. Before this match, both teams had started preparing for it. In this episode, South Africa has taken a very important decision to beat Australia and has entrusted a big responsibility to former England fast bowler Stuart Broad.

In fact, South Africa has appointed hired 38-year-old ex-pacer, Stuart Broad, as a consultant coach. This is the first time Broad is taking charge as a coach after his retirement in 2023. Broad, aged 38, is to report to Proteas training on June 9, where he is to target defeating Australia.

Stuart Broad has taken 153 Test wickets against Australia, the most by any player in red-ball history. The fast bowler also has a strong record at Lord's, taking 113 wickets in 28 Tests. The South African team has gathered in Britain and will face Zimbabwe in Sussex on Tuesday to prepare for the final.

The ICC World Test Championship started in 2019. In the final of WTC 2019-21, New Zealand defeated India by 8 wickets and became the champion. At the same time, Australia defeated India in the WTC 2021-2023 and became the champion. Now, South Africa and Australia are facing each other in the final of WTC 2023–2025. This is the first time South Africa and Australia have faced each other.
