A strange incident was witnessed in the match played between Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Gujarat Titans (GT). In this match, during the batting of Rajasthan Royals, an incident took place which angered Gujarat Titans captain Shubman Gill. This was the first time that Gill had been seen so angry in the field. This entire incident happened over a void.

Veteran bowler Mohit Sharma delivered the 17th over for Gujarat Titans during the Rajasthan Royals' batting innings. The final ball of the over was bowled by Mohit, close to the wide line. Sanju Samson, the captain of the Rajasthan Royals, attempted a towards-point swing. However, the ball escaped his bat and fell into the wicketkeeper's hands. The ball was ruled wide by the field umpire present. Gujarat then examined it, and the third umpire made the final decision.

After reviewing the replay, the third umpire declared that Samson was not inside the off-stump. It won't be granted wide in such a case. The ball was reviewed again after the TV umpire's initial declaration that it was the correct ball caused the Rajasthan Royals to become upset. This time the TV umpire declared Mohit Sharma's ball wide.

Seeing this, Gujarat Titans captain Shubhman Gill got furious and came near the pitch shouting from the boundary. He also expressed his displeasure with the umpire over his decision. But it was of no use and the umpire sent him back and in the end, the ball was declared wide.
