Shubhanshu Shukla went into quarantine before space travel, will fly to ISS on June 8; mission will be of 14 days
Indian astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla and other members of the Axiom-4 mission have gone into quarantine before the space travel. Shubhanshu will leave for the International Space Station on June 8. ISRO has paid Rs 550 crore to include Shubhanshu in this mission. The astronauts will conduct many experiments in this 14-day mission.

Indian astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla and three other crew members of the Axiom-4 mission entered quarantine prior to the space journey. This has been confirmed by US space company Axiom Space on Sunday.
On June 8 at 6:41 pm Indian time, the astronauts will take off on the Axiom-4 mission from Kennedy Space Center in Florida aboard the Dragon spacecraft to the International Space Station (ISS).
ISRO has made a payment of Rs 550 crore for Shubhanshu's part in the mission. Shubhanshu will be the first person from India to go to the ISS. Rakesh Sharma traveled to space in 1984 aboard the Soyuz space capsule of the Soviet Union. Rakesh Sharma was India's first astronaut. Astronauts will carry out various experiments during this 14-day mission.
Shubhanshu said at the farewell ceremony that I am confident that the mission will be successful. Crew farewell is a tradition. Axiom Space posted, the crew is going into quarantine. Before leaving, the employees of Axiom Space celebrated together. Under the mission, Shubhanshu will also be accompanied by astronauts from America, Hungary, and Poland.
