By Wednesday evening, the donation count had reached 21 crore 96 lakh 45 thousand rupees and counting is still going on. In the fourth round, 2 crore 73 lakh 90 thousand rupees were counted. Weighing of money orders, online rupees, and gold-silver are still pending.
The donation made in Sanwalia Seth temple was record-breaking this time. Donation boxes are opened in the temple every month on Chaturdashi date, but this time the donation box was not opened on Diwali.
In such a situation, the donation boxes were opened on 30 November and after 2 months the counting started. The donation count touched 21 crore 96 lakh 45 thousand rupees till Wednesday evening. The counting is still on.
Donation counting began at 11 am following Rajbhog Aarti. In the fourth round, 2 crore 73 lakh 90 thousand rupees were counted. Weighing of money orders, online money and gold-silver are pending.
On the first day, 11 crores 34 lahks 75 thousand rupees were counted, on December 2, 3 crores 60 lakh rupees and on December 3, 4 crores 27 lakh 80 thousand rupees were counted. The temple administration hopes that this time a new record of donation amount will be made. Temple Board President Bhairulal Gurjar and other employees were present in the counting process.
In Chittorgarh, Rajasthan, the Sanwalia Seth Temple is dedicated to Lord Krishna. It is said that at the behest of Bholaram Gurjar, the villagers dug the land in Bagund village and got three idols. Of these, the first idol was installed in Mandfiya and the second in Bhadasoda. While the third idol was installed in Chhapar itself.
