Sadio Mane out of World Cup due to injury: Big blow to Senegal

Senegal announced Mane's exclusion from the World Cup in a social media post on Friday. Team doctor Manuel Afonso said- 'Bayern Munich forward Sadio Mane will no longer be available for Senegal in the World Cup. He will do his rehabilitation in Munich in a few days.
Earlier, Afonso expressed hope that Mane would play some of the World Cup matches. He said- 'We have seen today's MRI and unfortunately his recovery is not as per expectations.'
The injury of 30-year-old Sadio Mane is also a topic of discussion because he is considered one of the best forwards in the world. At the same time, the African country Senegal is one of those teams, which can make a big difference in the tournament by defeating the big teams.
Senegal's first match will be against the Netherlands on 21 November. This match will be played from 9 pm. The team has been placed in Group A along with hosts Qatar, Netherlands and Ecuador. 32 teams are participating in this football Mahakumbh to be held every four years, which are divided into eight groups of four each.

Mane has scored 33 goals in 92 appearances for Senegal. He previously played for the English Premier League club, Liverpool. He now represents Bayern Munich.
