As a fan of legendary Nana Patekar, Gadar 2 actor Rohit Choudhary is co producing and acting in Anil Sharma’s upcoming film Vanvaas, has shared his admiration and awe for the actor. The experience of sharing the screen with Patekar was transformative, said Rohit who was cast as an NDRF officer.

"I have always been a fan of Nana Sir, he has always been honest and intense on screen," Rohit said. There was only acting, and then there was sharing the frame with him: like everyday masterclass.
He simply brings enough magnetism to every scene with enough depth and it is just awe inspiring all around."

Our Rohit was very clear about Nana Patekar’s rare dedication to authenticity and his amazing ability of raw emotion. He was also inspired, off screen, by the veteran actor’s humility and simplicity.

'We still remember one scene. We remember a particular scene,' Rohit recalled. He really brought it and everyone on set went speechless.” It wasn’t acting; these were feelings. In moments like that you push yourself to grow not only as an artist but as a human being.”

According to Rohit, Patekar had a lovely personality, and he enjoyed cooking.
When they were shooting, he would cook food for us. He made paya soup, and I remember it very well, it was delicious. He really enjoys cooking, feeding people. The team enjoyed his generosity all around," said Rohit.

That shoot in Shimla also brought a memorable moment.
Rohit recounted how Patekar rehearsed alone in the snow at 3:30 a.m. to perfect a scene. When It Snowed The First Time In Two Years, That Night. Nana Sir was prepared for the scene, even in the freezing cold. 'It's a lesson in itself, watching him work so passionately,' he shared.

Even on the shoot Patekar’s love for children stood out. The actor, Rohit recounted, had fun with visiting kids and mentored counterparts younger co-stars Utkarsh and Simran. "He remained inspired to the craft, and would stay on set constantly motivating everyone and contributing ideas to the scenes to make them better."

Rohit also praised Anil Sharma, the director of Vanvass, for his vision and storytelling skills. "He creates an environment that fosters creativity and collaboration, bringing out the best in his actors," he said.

Reflecting on the experience, Rohit concluded, "Working alongside legends like Nana Sir and under the direction of Anil Sharma has been a journey of growth and learning.
This project wasn’t just about acting—it was about immersing myself in a world of excellence and inspiration. I hope the audience connects with our work as deeply as we connected with the characters and the narrative."

Vanvaas promises to be a film filled with emotion, dedication, and excellence, brought to life by a passionate team and a stellar cast.
