The Poco M8 5G has a confirmed 50MP AI camera. The device has a thickness of 7.35mm. It will have a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 SoC along with a non-removable 5,520mAh battery.
The upcoming Poco M8 5G will launch in India on January 8th. The launch event will take place at 12:00 PM IST, and the handset will be available for sale on Flipkart. The company recently teased its design through a microsite on the e-commerce platform, showcasing a dual-tone rear panel with a matte and vegan leather finish.
The Poco M8 5G is known to measure a thickness of 7.35mm and weigh around 178 grams. It will arrive with a 50MP AI-enabled primary camera. It flaunts a camera module in a boxy shape at the back, which accommodates two camera sensors and an LED flash.
The Poco M8 5G is rumored to be a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 15 5G. If this is true, it could feature a 6.77-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of up to 3200 nits. The display is likely to have Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection. It could be powered by a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset, along with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

The Redmi Note 15 5G also features a dual rear camera setup with a 108-megapixel primary sensor and a 20-megapixel front camera. It packs a 5,520mAh battery with 45W fast charging support and 18W reverse charging support. These features are expected to be present in the new phone as well.
Pricing details for the Poco M8 5G are not yet available. The Redmi Note 15 5G starts at around ₹30,000 in the global market, while the Poco M7 5G was launched in India in March this year at a price of ₹9,999.
