Origin OS 6, based on Android 16, will soon be available in India, as announced by the iQOO India CEO via social media. It will replace Funtouch OS 15, though it is uncertain if existing Vivo and iQOO phones in India will also be updated. In China, Vivo and iQOO devices already run on Origin OS, and now the company is introducing it to the Indian market.
iQOO India CEO Nipun Marya confirmed on Twitter that Origin OS 6, based on Android 16, will soon launch in India, replacing Funtouch OS 15. Up to now, Vivo and iQOO phones in India used Funtouch OS, while Chinese versions ran on Origin OS. This change aims to unify the user experience across markets.
