Due to the havoc of floods in Andhra Pradesh, normal life is disrupted, the situation is such that people's houses have been submerged after continuous rains. At the same time, four helicopters (2 ALH and 2 Chetak) and a Dornier aircraft have been deployed to carry out search and rescue operations in the affected areas in the state. So far 22 stranded personnel have been rescued and more than 1000 kg of food has been airdropped for the stranded persons. 10 flood relief teams have also been deployed to enhance rescue efforts. While rescue teams with additional naval assets and related gear have been kept on standby to provide necessary help.
