Action on illegal immigration intensified in the US, plane carrying 33 people reached Ahmedabad

A plane with 33 Indians, one of 104 Indians deported for illegal migration, touched down in Ahmedabad. Officials mentioned that out of 104 Indians deported for illegal migration in America, a plane with 33 Indians from Gujarat landed at Ahmedabad airport early Thursday morning. Assistant Commissioner of Police ('G' Division) RD Ojha mentioned that 33 persons, including a few kids and women, were taken to their native places in Gujarat in police cars.

Ojha said at the airport, 'A plane carrying 33 Gujarati immigrants, including children and women, landed at the airport from Amritsar in the morning. They were among those who were deported from the US. We had deployed police vehicles at the airport to take them to their respective places.' When media persons tried to talk to the deported migrants, they refused to say anything and left for their native places in police vehicles.

According to Amar Ujala sources, most of the people who came to Ahmedabad are from Mehsana, Gandhinagar, Patan, Vadodara, and Kheda districts. Earlier, a US military plane carrying 104 illegal Indian immigrants landed in Amritsar, Punjab yesterday, of which 33 were from Gujarat. Family members of these illegal immigrants from Gujarat have claimed that they do not know how their relatives reached foreign soil.
