Marking 10 Years of 'Zid': Karanvir Sharma Reflects on His Breakthrough Film

10 years of Zid and Karanvir Sharma today celebrates his first film Zid which is released today. Released in November 28, 2014, 'Zid' gave Sharma his place into the limelight and he held onto to the foothold in the Indian film industry. The movie was directed by Vivek Agnihotri and produced by Anubhav Sinha and it had it’s own cast of audience with the same gripping storyline and great performances.

Reflecting on the decade since 'Zid's' release, Karanvir Sharma shared, "It’s incredible to think that it’s been ten years since Zid came out. The film holds a special place in my heart. It was a dream launch pad with Vivek Agnihotri Sir directing me. Working with such a talented cast and crew was an unforgettable experience, and I learnt a lot on the sets. “Pushing boundaries is something I’m excited about for what lies ahead and to hopefully deliver performances that resonate for people.”

Rohan aka "Ronnie" Achrekar, recognition here is brought for Karanvir’s great job as the leading man, as a crime reporter entangled in a web of mystery and suspense. As a part of the prep Karanvir lost Just add how Karanvir lost 18 kilos in 28 days for the role and overcame his fear of Hydrophobia. The film had an amazing soundtrack and the songs 'Mareez - E - Ishq', 'Sanson Ko' and 'Tu Zaroori' till date are played on radio and on YouTube have crossed over 70 million views. The actress also makes her debut in the role with Mannara Chopra and Shraddha Das making their debut in pivotal roles, too.

Since his debut, Sharma has made the best of his impact in films like 'Azhar' (2016), 'Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana' (2017) and also in the 2022 released 'A Thursday' besides television shows such as 'Shaurya Aur Anokhi Ki Kahani' and 'Rabb Se Hai Dua.' He has a devoted group of fans and earns much of his credit through his dedication to his craft as well as the ways in which he can portray a diverse set of characters.
