Bengaluru Blasters won the eighth match of the Maharaja Trophy 2025 against Gulbarga Mystics by five wickets. With this win, the Mystics have registered their first victory of the season. The Gulbarga Mystics team has now won one match out of three and is placed fifth in the points table. They faced a 33-run defeat in their first match against Mangaluru Dragons, and their second match was lost by eight wickets to Mysore Warriors.

Meanwhile, the Bengaluru Blasters are in fourth place after winning the same number of matches, thanks to a superior net run rate compared to Gulbarga. Gulbarga lost its first game against Mysore Warriors by 39 runs and was then defeated by two wickets by Hubli Tigers.

Gulbarga Mystics, batting after losing the toss, scored only 112 runs in 19.5 overs. They lost Lavnith Sisodia’s wicket (13) at 15 runs and Nikin Jose (1) at the same score. Wickets fell steadily from there. Lavish Kaushal came in at number eight and scored an unbeaten 54 off 30 balls, including five sixes and two fours, helping the team reach 112.

On the bowling side, Mohsin Khan, Vidyadhar Patil, Shubhangi Hegde, and Rohan Naveen each took two wickets, while Naveen MG grabbed one. In reply, the Bengaluru Blasters achieved the target in 14.2 overs. Opener LR Chetan remained unbeaten at one end, while Rohan Naveen (16 not out) was the only other batsman to reach double digits.

LR Chetan scored an unbeaten 75 off 48 balls, hitting three sixes and 10 fours to lead the team to victory. For the opposition, Vijaykumar Vaishakh took three wickets, while Monish Reddy and Sashi Kumar each took one.
