Kia will open a separate showroom for electric vehicles, know what is the company's future plan regarding EV

Kia has announced that it is all set to open an EV production facility in India. Currently, Kia has only one electric car, named Kia EV6, while the company is ready to launch more great electric cars in the coming years. This is the reason why the company wants to keep the EV lineup separate from ICE. Kia's upcoming new EV factory will not only serve the domestic market but will also become a production hub for emerging markets around the world.

Kia is not only building a separate production plant for the EV but will also open an exclusive showroom for it. Where only Kia's electric vehicles will be seen. The announcement was made during the inauguration of 'Kia EV Day'. The EV models, strategically designed for emerging markets, will be produced in India.

Kia is planning to build a total of eight production plants across the world, with Korea serving as the central hub. Small and medium-sized EVs will be manufactured in Europe, while China will handle medium to large-sized EVs. Overall, Kia is very serious about EVs and many cars are ready to be launched in India.

Kia plans to develop a wide range of EVs priced between US$30,000 to US$80,000. These will include smaller EVs like EV5, EV4 and EV3. However, in emerging markets like India, the carmaker will initially focus on the EV6 and EV9.
