JEE Advanced's New Third Attempt: A Lifeline for Aspirants, Boosting Equity and Opportunity
Breaking the long standing provisions of two attempts, JEE Advanced—the gateway to the top engineering entrance exams in India
Breaking the long standing provisions of two attempts, JEE Advanced—the gateway to the top engineering entrance exams in India—is now giving students a third chance. Most importantly though, this has a special importance for child from backward and rural areas for whom the ability to become IITian would be often limited by lacking of funds, guidance or knowledge. This is a path breaking change from inclusionary to inclusively as with this additional attempt more time is offered to students, enough time to strategize and take steps to be successful in such a challenging exam that is also India’s toughest one.
Breaking the Wall of Low Quality Education
Most of the rural students and the students belonging to disadvantaged background faced the barrier of being aware of, accessing, good quality resources and getting the ideal study environment to achieve their full potential in JEE Advanced. This is a new lifeline that would provide these students better time to enhance their knowledge and boost their confidence and would make the dream of IIT admission much more within reach of every dreamster than ever before.
Fueling Aspirations and Reducing Pressure
The third attempt not only opens doors but also reduces the intense pressure students feel to succeed on their first or second try. This extra shot gives students a chance to learn from previous attempts, fill in gaps, and retake the exam with higher confidence and more 'calibre' if you could pardon the pun. This makes JEE Advanced more like NEET UG by allowing students to view JEE Advanced as a journey of improvement and not one shot chance.
