Russia will soon deliver S-400 air defense system to India, there was a possibility of delay due to Ukraine war

Russia said on Monday that it will supply the S-400 anti-aircraft system to India on schedule. The Russian official's remarks came after Indian officials expressed apprehensions that Ukraine being embroiled in war could delay the supply of arms and equipment.

According to Interfax, the supply process will be completed by the end of 2024. 72 missiles can be launched simultaneously from the S-400. It is an updated version of the S-300 anti-aircraft family. The Indian Air Force had said in March that the Ukraine war could impact crucial defense supplies from Russia. Along with the S-400, India is currently buying French fighter jets, Israeli drones, and American jet engines.
