Heavy rain warning after two days, 8 companies of SDRF deployed in affected districts
Rajasthan Weather Today: From July 1 to 23, Rajasthan recorded almost 100 percent more rainfall than normal. The state government has reviewed the disaster management preparations and deployed NDRF and SDRF teams. Relief amount has been announced to the affected districts and compensation to the families of the deceased.

From July 1 to July 23, Rajasthan experienced nearly double its usual rainfall, with 327.05 mm recorded compared to the normal 163.88 mm. Twenty-five districts received above-average rainfall, and the Meteorological Department warns of another heavy rain phase starting July 26. In response, the government has reviewed disaster management strategies, deploying 8 NDRF and SDRF teams in the most affected districts, including 4 NDRF teams in Kishangarh (Ajmer), Kota, Bharatpur, and Udaipur, working alongside SDRF units for flood rescue and disaster management.
The State Emergency Operation Control Room (SEOC) in Jaipur, with toll-free numbers 1070 and 112, manages disaster rescue efforts. Flood control rooms in all districts are operational 24/7. An advance relief fund of Rs 20 lakh per divisional district and Rs 10 lakh for other districts has been allocated for flood response. Assistance packages include Rs 4.00 lakh per person for death from natural disasters; Rs 1.20 lakh for complete house destruction; Rs 37,500 per animal (up to 3 large milch animals); Rs 4,000 per small milch animal (up to 30); Rs 8,500 per hectare for non-irrigated land with 33% or more crop loss; Rs 17,000 for irrigated land with similar loss, and Rs 22,500 for perennial crops.
Recently, five villagers trapped in the overflowing Sahodra River in Thana Lamba Harisingh (Tonk) were rescued safely. The state has 8 SDRF teams located in Jaipur (2), Kota (1), Bhilwara (1), Ajmer (1), Tonk (1), Chittorgarh (1), and Bikaner (1). Thirty-one districts- including Ajmer, Alwar, Balotra, Baran, Beawar, Bhilwara, Bundi, Chittorgarh, Dausa, Dholpur, Didwana-Kuchaman, Jaipur, Jalore, Jhunjhunu, Jodhpur, Karauli, Kota, Nagaur, Pali, Rajsamand, Sawai Madhopur, Sikar, Tonk, Sriganganagar, Hanumangarh, Churu, Barmer, Phalodi, Sirohi, Jaisalmer, and Khairthal-Tijara- have received 60% more rainfall than normal.
