Google Announces Limited-Time 50% Discount on AI Pro Subscription in US
Google has announced a new offer for eligible users. This offers a 50 percent discount on the Google AI Pro annual plan. However, this is a limited-period offer. The offer price allows users to access its full suite of artificial intelligence (AI) features with a higher rate limit.
Google on Wednesday announced a new offer for eligible users, reducing the price of the Google AI Pro annual plan by 50 percent. This is a limited-time offer and has certain restrictions on who can and cannot avail of it. With the price reduction, the company is offering subscribers access to all of its artificial intelligence features with a higher rate limit for a fair price. Additionally, a report indicates that a discount is also being made available on the Google One yearly plan.
In an X (formerly Twitter) post, Gemini's official account announced a flat 50 percent discount on the annual Google AI Pro plan. However, it can only be availed by new customers, implying they have never purchased the plan using the Google account in the past. Moreover, the applicable regions are limited to the US. This offer can only be availed until January 15th. It is unknown at which point it can be claimed in India.
So, for a new subscriber in the US, the 12-month Google AI Pro plan, which usually costs $199.99 (approximately Rs. 17,950) for the first year, is now available for $99.99 (approximately Rs. 9,000). After the offer period, the next year will be charged $239.88. It's worth noting that the subscription will automatically renew after the offer period, so users who don't want to continue will need to either turn off auto-pay or disable the mandate.

With the Google AI Pro subscription, users will get access to the Gemini 3 Pro AI model, Nano Banana Pro, Deep Research, Veo 3.1 Fast for video generation, as well as the Gemini chatbot in the company's Workspace products. Users will also benefit from 2TB of cloud storage across Drive, Photos, and Gmail.
In addition, a report by 9to5Google states that Google One is running a similar offer, where new subscribers can get a 50 percent discount on the annual plan. The terms and conditions are the same as the Gemini plan. With this change, the basic 100GB plan will cost users $9.99 (approximately Rs. 900) for 12 months instead of $19.99 (approximately Rs. 1,800). Similarly, the Premium 2TB plan, which usually costs $99.99 (roughly Rs. 9,000) for a year, is currently available for $49.99 (roughly Rs. 4,490).
