I knew how hard Bhaiya was working for it and it really meant a lot to him. When it was performing so well, we were all very happy for him and it was worth it. Only Sunny Deol can do what he has done in a film like Gadar 2."

Amidst the success of Gadar 2, Esha Deol's short film 'Ek Dua' has received a special mention in the non-feature films category at the 69th National Film Awards. To this, the actress said, "I am very happy. I sometimes pinch myself to believe that this is happening for real. When you are appreciated, it is obviously a good feeling." It takes a while to digest that this is actually happening."

He further added, "More than anything, this film is my first film as a producer. This film needs to reach out there, especially in our country because it deals with female foeticide. It is something that I feel as a human being, as a woman. If I am able to take it out there, it is a small effort for such a big cause.
