Surbhi Shukla Conjures a Mesmerizing Return to Television with 'Shaitani Rasmein' After a Four-Year Hiatus

Television sensation Surbhi Shukla is set to cast a bewitching spell on audiences as she makes a riveting comeback after a four-year hiatus with the spine-chilling drama, 'Shaitani Rasmein,' airing on Star Bharat.

Acknowledging the industry adage that "out of sight is out of mind," Shukla candidly shared the risks associated with staying away from the small screen. Reflecting on her absence, she disclosed, "I know it's a big risk to stay away from the screen for a long time, especially when new faces are making headlines every day." Despite the gamble, Shukla embraced the opportunity for personal and professional growth, delving into the world of South Indian cinema during the industry's slowdown in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Venturing into non-lead roles, Shukla secured roles in two South Indian movies, 'Rani' and an as-yet-untitled project. Her return to television materialized with 'Shaitani Rasmein,' a show that marks not only her comeback but also a reunion with director Nikhil Sinha, with whom she had previously collaborated on 'Devon Ke Dev Mahadev.'

Speaking about the eerie new show, Shukla enthused, "It's not just my comeback; it's a super-duper comeback as this is my latest association with Star and Nikhil Sinha’s banner 'Triangle Film Company.'" Drawing parallels to cherished childhood tales, she added, "It will take you back to your childhood because it's something similar to our Dadi-Nani ki Kahaniya (Granny’s Stories) - supernatural and ghostly."
