Income of the Information Technology sector will grow 5.1 percent to $282.6 billion this fiscal year i.e. 2024-25. The sector income will cross the mark of $300 billion in 2025-26, which is almost six percent higher than 2024-25.

NASSCOM President Rajesh Nambiar said on Monday at the 'Technology Leadership Forum', that this is a good result for the IT sector considering what is happening around us. On the employment front, it said that this year 1.26 lakh people got jobs in the technology sector. This increased the number of employed people to 58 lakh. At the same time, the domestic revenue of companies will increase by seven percent to reach $ 58.2 billion. This is more than the 4.6 percent increase in export revenue.

The revenue of traditional IT service companies will grow by 4.3 percent to reach $ 137.1 billion in 2024-25. The revenue of business process outsourcing will grow by 4.7 percent to $ 54.6 billion. The revenue growth of engineering research and development companies is expected to grow at the highest rate of seven percent and it will reach $ 55.6 billion.
