Continuous icy winds from North India have maintained the cold wave in Rajasthan. The Meteorological Department issued a yellow cold wave alert in Sikar district on Sunday. Meanwhile, cold conditions persist in the morning and evening in the districts of Jaipur and Ajmer divisions. Minimum temperatures are being recorded below 10°C in most districts. On Saturday, temperatures in 13 cities across the state recorded single digits. According to the Meteorological Centre in Jaipur, severe and mild cold waves are likely to persist in the state over the coming days.

Sikar Fatehpur recorded a temperature of 5°C and Sikar 5.4°C. The effect of the cold wave was seen in Sikar, Ajmer, and Tonk in the morning and evening. The minimum temperature in Nagaur was 6.1°C, Churu 7.9°C, Pilani 8.5°C, Alwar 8.4°C, Vanasthali (Tonk) 8.6°C, Bhilwara 9.4°C, Dausa 6.9°C and Jhunjhunu 8.6°C. Ajmer recorded 10°C, Udaipur and Jodhpur 10.2°C, Jaipur 12.4°C, Kota 13.1°C, Barmer 15.4°C, Jaisalmer 12.6°C, Bikaner 13.6°C, Ganganagar 10.7°C, Dungarpur 12.9°C and Hanumangarh 12.2°C.

Day temperatures also recorded a slight drop in the state. The maximum temperature dropped by 1 degree on Saturday. Barmer was the hottest city with 32.4°C. Jaisalmer recorded 30.9°C, Phalodi 30°C, Bikaner 31.3°C, Ajmer 27.8°C, Jaipur 28.4°C, Sikar 27.5°C and Kota 27.8°C. Udaipur was the coldest on Saturday, with a maximum temperature of 25.6°C.
