Karnataka, Gujarat top in adopting clean energy, this truth of UP and Bihar came to light
Clean Energy: The joint report by research organization Institute for Energy Economics and Financial Analysis (IEEFA) and clean energy think tank AMBER said Karnataka and Gujarat continued their strong performance across all dimensions of clean energy.
Karnataka and Gujarat have been at the top in terms of the adoption of clean energy in the country, this has been claimed in a joint report of IEEFA and AMBER. The report states that states like Jharkhand, Bihar, West Bengal and Uttar Pradesh need to increase their efforts in adopting clean energy.
This was said on Tuesday in a joint report by the research organization Institute for Energy Economics and Financial Analysis (IEEFA) and the clean energy think tank, Amber. The authors of the report said Karnataka and Gujarat continued their strong performance across all dimensions. These states have effectively added renewable energy sources to their power sectors, making strong progress in reducing carbon emissions.
However, there is room for improvement in states like West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, and Bihar. At the time of this report's release, severe heat waves are occurring in certain regions of India. Because of this, the Power Ministry is getting ready for a potential 260 GW maximum power demand.
