The Indian Premier League (IPL 2025) was delayed by a week following a rise in tension between Pakistan and India. The season was delayed on May 9 and will most likely resume in the near future. Gujarat Titans began training in the first instance following the declaration of a ceasefire by both the military commanders of Pakistan and India. All players of the league topper are hard at work in the nets to capture the second title.

According to ESPNcricinfo report, GT players have started their practice sessions. Although many foreign players and coaching staff associated with the league have returned home after the postponement of IPL 2025, the GT team has not been affected much. Only Jos Buttler and Gerald Coetzee have returned home from the GT team.

Most of the GT players and coaching staff are present in Ahmedabad and training is going on at the Narendra Modi Stadium. This is GT's home ground. After the ceasefire was announced between India and Pakistan on Saturday, BCCI Secretary Devjit Saikia said on Sunday that the board will announce the date of IPL resumption after talking to all the concerned people and government officials.

GT has shown excellent game in this season of IPL 2025 and they have won 8 out of 11 matches. Gujarat Titans are currently at the top of the points table. Royal Challengers Bangalore have also won the same number of matches, but GT has a better net run rate. Two of their remaining three matches were to be played at home. They have to play against Lucknow Super Giants and Chennai Super Kings at Narendra Modi Stadium and one against Delhi Capitals in Delhi.

Not only this, GT openers Sai Sudarshan and Shubman Gill are in second and third place in the Orange Cap race. Both have scored more than 500 runs and are only behind Suryakumar Yadav of Mumbai Indians. There is only a difference of two runs between the runs of all these players. Obviously the Orange Cap race is very interesting. At the same time, GT's fast bowler Prasidh Krishna is leading in the Purple Cap race with 20 wickets. However, Chennai Super Kings' left-arm spinner Noor Ahmed has also taken the same number of wickets.
