On Thursday, the largest chip manufacturer in the world, Nvidia, announced that it will invest $5 billion in Intel. This investment will be made by purchasing Intel's common stock at $23.28 per share. However, regulatory approval will be required to finalize the deal.
The two companies will work together on custom data centers and PC products. These data centers will form the basis of an artificial intelligence infrastructure. Nvidia says this collaboration will strengthen both companies' ecosystems and provide a new direction for next-generation computing.
