14-Year-Old Vaibhav Suryavanshi Smashes Historic Century in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy

14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi scored a century in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy on Tuesday, becoming the youngest batsman in the tournament's history to do so. In the Plate Group match against Maharashtra, which was held at Eden Gardens in Kolkata, Suryavanshi scored an unbeaten 108 runs off 61 balls with the help of 7 fours and 7 sixes. He steered Bihar to 176/3 in 20 overs. The target of 177 was fulfilled in 19.1 overs for Maharashtra for the loss of 7 wickets.
In this match, Maharashtra captain Prithvi Shaw won the toss and decided to bowl first. Bihar had a poor start to the match, with two wickets falling for 31 runs. Then the half-century was reached by Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who opened the innings with Akash Raj. After Akash's dismissal, Ayush Loharuka joined Suryavanshi. Suryavanshi scored a century and took the team to 176.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi made history by becoming the youngest player to score a century in the IPL at just 14 years and 23 days old. He scored a century against Gujarat Titans in 35 balls. This was the fastest century by an Indian in the IPL and the second-fastest century in the league overall after Chris Gayle.
