For audio, the headphones feature a coaxial dual-driver system with a 40mm primary driver and a 12mm secondary driver. This architecture is designed to focus on bass and mid-frequency sound with the larger driver and the smaller unit for treble clarity.
It also supports LDAC and Hi-Res Audio certification, indicating compatibility with high-resolution audio streams over Bluetooth, provided the source device also supports LDAC.
You also get Smart Adaptive Hybrid ANC up to 45dB. This uses both feedforward and feedback microphones to cancel ambient sound based on the surrounding environment.
For calls, the Airwave Max 6 features a five-microphone array with a dedicated wind-noise cancellation chip. For connectivity, the new Airwave Max model features Bluetooth 6.0 support, which promises improved efficiency and more stable multi-device connectivity.
The headphones also support spatial or 3D audio, designed to create a larger soundstage for movies and gaming. Priced at around Rs 7,000, the Airwave Max 6 competes with models like the Sony WH-CH720N and JBL Tune 770NC.
