Yellow alert in 20 districts of Rajasthan today, heavy rain warning till September 4
Weather Update Today: There is a rain alert in 20 districts of Rajasthan today. The Meteorological Department says that moderate to heavy rain will continue in the state till September 4.

Monsoon has once again become active in Rajasthan. It has been raining nonstop in many parts of the state for the past week. As a result, rivers and streams are in flood. Overflowing dams in Sawai Madhopur have caused severe water logging in low-lying areas. The Meteorological Department states that continuous rain will persist in the state from August 30 to September 4. During this period, light to moderate rain is expected in some areas, while heavy rain may occur in certain districts. There might be some relief from rain after September 4.
The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for 20 districts on Saturday, August 30. These include light rain in eastern Rajasthan and moderate to heavy rain in southern Rajasthan. Heavy rain is expected in districts such as Ajmer, Baran, Beawar, Bhilwara, Chittorgarh, Dungarpur, Rajsamand, Salumber, and Udaipur. Meanwhile, other districts could see light to moderate rain with thunderstorms.
According to the Meteorological Department, the monsoon trough is currently extending to the Bay of Bengal via Bikaner, Kota, Guna, Damoh, Sambalpur, and Puri. At the same time, a low-pressure system has formed over Odisha and Chhattisgarh. Due to this system, rain is expected to continue in districts like Jaipur, Ajmer, Bharatpur, Kota, Bikaner, Udaipur, and Jodhpur over the next few days.
There is a strong chance of light to moderate rain with thunderstorms in eastern Rajasthan for the next 5-6 days, with heavy rain possible in some southern and southeastern districts. Rain activity will persist in other areas, except for the border regions of Jodhpur and Bikaner divisions.
