Thunderstorm, rain, and hailstorm alert issued in Rajasthan today
Rajasthan Rain Alert: Due to the impact of a Western Disturbance, a warning has been issued for rain, thunderstorms, and hailstorms in Rajasthan for the next three days.

The weather in Rajasthan will change starting today, Sunday. Due to the influence of the active Western Disturbance in North India, several districts in the state are expected to see heavy rain, strong thunderstorms, and hailstorms. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for most parts of Rajasthan until October 6th. Light to moderate rain was also recorded in some areas on Saturday. Kapasan in Chittorgarh received 33 mm of rain, Dungla 10 mm, Dhorimanna in Barmer 21 mm, Pidawara in Jhalawar 6 mm, and Udaipur 4 mm.
Meanwhile, districts like Sirohi, Jalore, Dungarpur, Banswara, and Pratapgarh also experienced light rain and cloudy skies late last night. Radheshyam Sharma, director of the Jaipur Meteorological Center, said that the western disturbance will be most intense on October 5th and 6th.
During this time, heavy storms, rain, and hailstorms are expected in most districts of the state. This system will stay active until October 8th. Recently, several districts, including Jaipur, saw heavy rains on Dussehra. The Meteorological Department has advised farmers and the public to stay alert.
They are urged to keep crops and vehicles sheltered in safe places and avoid unnecessary travel. This weather change will impact both eastern and western Rajasthan. Over the next 48 hours, districts such as Jaipur, Kota, Ajmer, Bharatpur, Jodhpur, Udaipur, Banswara, Chittorgarh, and Baran are expected to face heavy rain and hailstorms.
